Anibal “Ani” Ramos - is the owner and lead instructor of the Ani Ramos Catching Academy. Ani has been a coach
for the past 35 years at the college and professional levels. He coached the New Jersey Jackals of the Can-Am
Professional Baseball League from their inception in 1998 until 2016. He is the only coach in Jackal history to sport
four championship rings in addition to an NCAA ring w/ Ramapo College in New Jersey. He has been involved in
the training of numerous AA/AAA/MLB catchers as well as the team’s extra hitting, batting practice, scouting and
player procurement. His knowledge, enthusiasm, and insight about all facets of the game continue to benefit the
success and advancement of the players and organizations. Ani has been an integral part of the broadcast and on-
field ESPN Radio Deportes Team’s coverage of MLB’s annual All-Star Game, League Championships and World
Series shows from 2007 to 2017. Ani is a requested speaker w/n the baseball speaking circuit.
Since its inception in 2007 the academy has had 11 players drafted in MLB’s amateur draft and 5 players signed
professional contracts. In addition, since 2021 there have been over 40+ students playing at all 4-year NCAA levels
schools, Junior Colleges and NAIA schools.
